The Champion from Tennessee, The Final Ride
He came from nothing but He accomplished everything he wanted too, He drove for the King, he won a championship, and he owned his own racing facility. Maybe he wasn’t all that glittered but he was down to earth and true. “The Man†had a heart bigger than Tennessee. He did not want it unless he had earned it.
On Saturday January 7, 2007 Bobby took his final ride, Lucky dog, up there kickin tires in Heaven tonight. You will be missed there is no doubt.
As he passes through the tunnel turn and is headed for the light, They are opening the gates wide as he comes into site, He’s got that truck hummin; it’s wound up tight, He can’t believe the set up, this things running on a rail. The tires will never blow; the transmission will never break, The shocks will never blow a seal, The rear end gear will never come apart, And the engine will never fail. Into the arms of Jesus will forever be his soul. No more labor, no more pain.
You were always a winner to me, Carry on Mr. Champion sir. Kent E Omer (pidg)
