Online Memorial Tribute

Brandy was a beautiful young mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister & aunt... her life was taken away way too soon.  It was a day our family will never forget March 21st 2006 Brandy was shot by a neighbor of her's in a neighborhood dispute. Brandy & my nephew Kenny were both shot, Kenny was shot 5 times but none of his wounds were life threating he was out of the hospital in about 3 weeks and his wounds have all healed except for the wound left in his heart from that tragic day it wasn't a physcial wound but it will be a emotional wound he will carry forever. Brandy wasn't as lucky she was shot three times but the most damaging on was in her stomach she was shot with a 22 rifle and the bullet just tore up her inside's, she struggled for 2 years laying in a hospital bed at Shands Hospital in Jacksonville Florida the whole time with surgery after surgery trying to repair her intestines but they were unable to repair them because there were so many holes that the bullet had made. She needed to have a intestional transplant and unfortunately we were unable to raise the money in time. So after spending 2 years in the hospital fighting for her life and wanting to live to see her 2 small boys grow up the life sentence that was handed down to her by her killer ( Robert Hugh Sumner ) she passed away on May 14th 2008 her life here was very short but our memories of her will live on forever...  We see things ever now and then that lets us know she is still around and looking over us like the birth of her cousin Robert's baby girl being born on her birthday we know that was a special message sent to us as a rememberance of her life and how her memory will live on... the sad part about this whole thing is that her killer only servered 2 years & 7 months in jail... he is out today walking around and still able to live his life... just isn't fair but we will leave that in God's hands...
