Joyce (I've been out of loop for over six years); My deepest regrets over yours and our loss. I got to know Chris from competitions around the states. I was worried after the US Olympic team membership because at times when I did see him, some of that twinkle in his eye was missing. I saw it back when he started teaching but over time it was missing again. His coach struck me at times, more worried about how people viewed him rather than what was going on with Chris's attitude at times. Carroll and I most diffidently did not see eye to eye. Well, that is all water under the bridge. I've missed Chris before his death because I didn't take the effort to touch base every now and then. My career had taken off. Your have all my sympathy, and I understand more about the statement "the good die young". Take care and remember Chris will be always thought of as a great friend and wonderful skater in spite of the people and the problems. Steve
