Marshall, the eldest of 4 boys of the late Clyde Marshall Metze, Jr. and Sara Metze was born in Stroud Oklahoma.  Education included schools from Nebraska to Texas.  High School graduation was in Leveland.  He attended Oklahoma A & M, Stillwater, OK where he obtained his Bachelor's degree in Music Education.  He transferred to the University of Oklahoma to obtain his Masters Degree in Education.   After a few years of teaching and performing as a professional musician, Marshall returned to O.U. to continue his education.  He earned his Doctorate in Psychology from the University of Oklahoma, Norman,Ok.  His Psychology practice included the Dallas area as well as Houston, Temple and College Station. 

Marshall was the proud father of a daughter, Marion, born in 1970.  Marshall was also the stepfather to a son, Jeffrey.

Marshall was a close and loving brother.  He was always ready and willing to provide any means of support for his family and friends.  He loved the closeness of family gatherings and sharing of the traditional Metze family Christmas and the 'Grab Bag' (Chinese Christmas's) and of course, the sharing of all the wonderful food at these occasions. One of Marshall's favorite Metze gatherings were the Chili Cookoffs. He was a member of Ed Paetzel's National Championship team at Terlingua during the 70's. 

 He was a loving and generous uncle to 3 nephews: Steve,  Roger, Eric,  and 4 nieces: Christine, Laura Jean, Sharla, and Jennifer; and a great Uncle to numerous great nieces and nephews. 

Marshall touched many lives in his  71 years and enjoyed his family and all of the friends he made over the years.

Marshall was loved and he will be deeply missed.
