In Memory of Elvis Presley
8th January 1935 –
16th August 1977
After-life Concert Record Breaker
Return to Memorial
Consistent with the Eterna Link concept of keeping in touch, even after passing, Elvis Presley, captured on video during his life, was the star again in a grand concert production labeled "Elvis in Concert". His image was accompanied by some thirty former musicians that he performed with, as well as the Memphis Symphony Orchestra. The show was sold out, full of crazed fans who had come from around the world to attend this unique event commemorating the 20th anniversary of Elvis's passing. Even after his death, Elvis' image, his memory, was enough to break the Mid-South Coliseum's all-time record for box office sales. This concert was dubbed a prototype for what promoter call the 1998/99 touring production "Elvis - The Concert". As the first performer in history to headline a concert after his death, Elvis made history. You may have heard that Elvis never gave a concert outside the US. Well, not true anymore! His image entertained a sell-out crowd at London's Wembley Arena. Catch the show if you can, in true Eterna Link spirit!
