Elvis Aron Presley (out of respect for his Parents I chose to use his "birth name" though I fully understand that Elvis, in later years, opted to use "Aaron" as it is the Biblical spelling and thus Vernon opted to use "Aaron" on the headstone) was the GREATEST Entertainer...who ever existed. Elvis was also a tremendously "sensitive" man who could "outwardly" convey confidence/aggressiveness but always struggled with "depression, insecurities, etc.". I have a DEVOUT Elvis Presley Fan and I have written many articles/Website Blogs/etc., as well as having on the of Largest (private) Elvis Presley Collections in the World, and I do not make these statements to "adversely affect" the name of Elvis Presley...but just to show that Elvis was...human and he...felt. In this life there is a "rythmn" that individuals souls are more "in tune" with than others. Elvis was VERY "in tune" and could easily "read" someones emotions/energy/etc. It was so bad, during the later part of his life, that he actually DREDDED going downstairs (at Graceland) because he knew that someone (or many) would lay their problems on him - ask for money - etc. Sadly, Elvis was suffering his own problems and did not have a "consistent outlet" (other than his thoughts, prayers, etc.) for his own wellbeing. There are FAR TOO MANY "Fans", or "people", that do not give Priscilla the respect/appreciation/etc. that she (in fact) deserves. Elvis loved her, until the day he died, and he spent many a night talking to her long distance and sharing his "thoughts" with her. They even had talked about "oneday" reconciling and only God knows if that would have ever happened. However, it is clear that Elvis took a dramatic "downturn" (mentally, physically, emotionally, etc.) after their divorce was final (October 9, 1973)and it was the "second greatest loss" of his life (the first being the loss of his beloved Mother Gladys on August 14, 1958). It is my eternal hope that Elvis is in heaven with Gladys, Vernon, Dodger, Jesse, and even Charlie Hodge and others. For all he did, from his heart, I hope that he has eternal joy/peace/rest/happiness. Not a day goes by that I don't think of, and selfishly miss, him. I believe that Elvis "knew" that life was not...guaranteed and he lived his life doing what he loved - provided for his family/friends - and helped others out of the kindness of his heart. THESE are the lessons that I hope everyone "learns" about Elvis' life (first and foremost). He was not affraid to show others that he...cared. God bless Elvis Aron Presley and thank you "theeternalportal.com" for all that you do!
