Online Memorial Tribute

Barrister Ernestine Mbong Samba was born in Limbe on the 16^th of September 1970. She did her primary school in Limbe and later went on to our beloved Saker Baptist College for her secondary studies where she graduated in 1987. After Saker Ernestine went on to Lycee Essos in Yaounde to continue with high school from 1987 – 1989, she will then go on to the University of Yaounde to begin her legal career where she earned a degree in law in 1992. In the quest to better herself and be a well rounded person she did computer studies in 1993.

As we all know  what the job market is like in our beloved country, Ernestine had a hard time finding a job so she worked at The Buea Mountain Hotel from 1994-1999 as the Public Relations liaison.

After that she went on to work at FakoShip Buea until 2007 when she resigned to follow her dream in the legal domain. Ernestine was sworn into the Bar association in 2001 and from then on there was no stopping her legal career. She worked  at Etabesong’s Chambers from 2001 – 2007. She also worked at Ambilichu’s Chambers in 2007. All these experiences prepared Ernestine for her biggest dream which was to open her own chambers. From September 2007 – January 2008 she worked independently and in January 2008 she worked at the famous Nico Halle Chambers in Douala until her untimely departure.

Ernestine suffered a brief illness on May 9^th,2008 and was recovering when she had a relapse that took her life. She was sick for a very brief period of time and left us on June 11^th 2008.

She will be remembered for her wonderful voice as the music prefect in Saker and her ever bubbling personality. She never missed an opportunity to make you laugh as her jokes were always ready when you met her.

Ernestine leaves behind a sister Relindis Tabe Samba and her mother, Mammy Irene Mbi Enow, her Saker sisters, a host of friends and family, the South West Lawyers Assocition where she was always at home in their midst.

Ernestine as much as we cannot believe that you are gone we have to accept God’s plan for you because His plans are never our plans. You did what you came to do so Rest In Peace and prepare a place for those coming behind. You will be truly missed.
