When God calls
His children home,
their angels come
to take them by the hand,
leading them along
a shining path,
into a place of peace
and light.
Home at last,
they see the Lord open
His arms,
welcoming them with
a smile
into the everlasting joy
that is His Love.
Mother always had a twinkle in her eyes. She was the kind of mom who wanted to know what her kids were doing at all times, and
to make sure we were doing what is right.
She loved her children more than herself, and
was always there for us.
I am very thankful for the mom that God blessed me
with. She lived just a few months short of her last 8
years with Jeff and I, in our home. At that point,
Mom was going down the Alzheirmer path, yet
it is hard to say that she really ever got too bad with that.
She had her very spunky and fun times, sad times too seeing
her go down hill, but it was a very slow pace. She always
loved to knit, to play Skipbo or Scrabble or Dominoes, and
even up to the end, she could play a good game. She
loved to fill other's hearts with joy, by going to sing
at our local nursing home, with other senior citizens. Mom
had a perky step in her walk and would always try to do her
share around the house. She loved being outside, planting
flowers, pulling the weeds from the flower beds.
She also liked wearing pretty clothes. She loved red!!
She loved sparkle and glittery stuff on her clothes too.
Mom loved her grandchildren, though she could be a bit
tough on them, she wanted them to grow up to be good kids!!
Who doesn't?
Maybe I can add more to this later.
