Dear Mrs. Wilson, my heart goes out to you and your husband. Please accept my condolences for your loss.
I hope the following words will be of comfort and bring you hope. Both of which is found in God's Word.
First, let me assure you that God did not want your son to die.For the majority, the death of a wife, a husband, or a child can be the most upsetting experience of a lifetime. People’s entire emotional makeup is often jarred for a long time after the death of a person dearly loved. Knowledge of the resurrection hope coupled with knowledge of the One who is the source of that provision can comfort you.
The last enemy, death is to be brought to nothing.” (1 Corinthians 15:25, 26) Never again will death be allowed to dominate God’s human creation!
Knowing that our deceased loved ones in God’s memory are asleep in death and awaiting a resurrection can give us solace and kindle our desire to carry on with life.
Death is thus a cruel enemy that was never meant to be.—1 Corinthians 15:26.
It is only reasonable, then, that the unnatural event of the death of someone close sparks deep emotional pain for those it touches. It creates an enormous vacuum in their life.
The death of a young person particularly pains us because of the tragedy of a life not fully lived.—Isaiah 38:10.
In the Scriptures, death is clearly explained. Furthermore, the Bible not only reveals why we die but also explains the condition of the dead and offers HOPE for our deceased loved ones. Finally, it speaks of a momentous time when it will be possible to report: “Death is swallowed up forever.”—1 Corinthians 15:54. The Creator has a purpose for the earth and for mankind upon it. He wants you to understand this purpose and enjoy everlasting life in Paradise on earth. (Psalm 37:10, 11, 29)
Imagine your beloved dead restored to life on earth under grand conditions! A whole new future thus opens up for vast multitudes who have gone into the sleep of death.
WHAT grand relief an earth forever free from sickness and death would mean for us humans! It would put an end to the bitter tears shed in expression of grief and suffering. Gone would be the excruciating pain and horrible deformities that sickness can bring. No longer would the ravages of old age weaken humans, often bringing them to a state of hopeless despair and helplessness. People everywhere would be enjoying youthful strength and vigor. Not a single mournful sound would ever come forth from their lips!
Knowing that our deceased loved ones in God’s memory are asleep in death and awaiting a resurrection can give us solace and kindle our desire to carry on with life.
This is not based on idle imagination, but rather, this is a guaranteed promise made to us by God and if found in his Word the Bible.
