(green was my Dad`s fav. color, so I picked it.)My Dad Was the best, A very good Daddy & one of my best friends.I remember growing up in with my Family, It was a very happy childhood .My Daddy was in the radio buisness for many years. He was the manager for WBAP in Ft. Worth for a while & hired Bill Mack. He was also good friends with Buck Owens & Met John Wayne& was friends with him. He met Glen Cambell. He also met Festis on Gunsmoke..He met alot of movie stars & singers in his line of work. He was vary good at what he did & had a vert good personality, very smart & funny. He worked at the radio station in Mineral Wells for a while when we lived there, then we moved to El Paso& he got a job in radio therewith his own talk show.He moved to El Paso in 1986& I & my 2 small children moved there in 1989 to be with him. He would play football with my Son. He would read bedtime stories to them every night. We always had a great time together.We loved him so much.& still do. I felt so guilty when he passed, my children told me to check on him cause he had been asleep for a long time& I did`nt till later. he had already gone.He went on to be with Jesus on the 31 of May 1997. He was 63 years old, He would be 73 in December.We miss you &Love you very muchDaddy& Grandpa.. |
