Heath Adam Caple was a loving husband, a caring and devoted father. He was a beloved son, brother, and uncle. He was blessed with extended family members close by who included Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Step-parents and Step-siblings. He had many friends he could count on and loved like family. Heath was 31 when he was diagnosed with Metastatic Colon Cancer. Many statistics gave him 6-9 months to live, but he fought and lived his life for 19 months.

The one thing that Heath always said, was that through this tragedy he was able to accomplish many things in his life that he may not have been able to acheive.  He visited the states twice, found peace with his family and close friends, and most of all experienced the unconditional love of his family that he had been longing for.

In his visits to the USA he experienced many things.  He went to a major league baseball game and saw Roger Clemens pitch.  He visited Nasa, Kemah boardwalk on the Texas Coast, and honeymooned in Las Vegas.  He loved Vegas and was very lucky winning $120 on the penny slots and always walking away from the black jack table ahead.  He enjoyed having Wednesday morning breakfast with my dad and the retired men, sharing stories and jokes.  We visited the Texas Rangers Museum and the Texas State capital building.  We went out to the country where he shot targets with a shot gun.  He loved walking Madison to and from school and playing basketball with Dustin after school.  He visited the Alamo and the San Antonio riverwalk, went to a NBA Spurs game, saw Bill Engvall at the San Antonio Rodeo, and watched an Australian pitcher he knew by name at the minors.  He went to Sea World with Dustin and got to spend the day bonding.  He loved being in the states because he could live a "normal" life for a few months.  No doctors or treatments, just friends and family and new experiences.
