Survived By: Two sons; William F. Beckett and Michael G. Beckett. Four grand children; Sebastian Beckett, Nicole Beckett, Aaron Beckett, Curtis Beckett Kazmaier. Two great grand children; Colin and Anna Beckett Lovin. One brother; Ben Reynolds. Four sisters; Pearl Meredith, Fanny Saunders, Beverly Clark and Brenda Butler. One sister-in-law; Maxine T. Reynolds. One brother-in-law; Ronald Butler. Many nieces and nephews and three longtime friends; Barbara White, Allie Reagan and Norma Smith.


This memorial website was created in the memory of our beloved Hope Violet Reynolds Beckett, who was born in Newton Massachusetts on 17th October 1932 and passed away at 12:00 noon, on the 10th September 2008, at the Conway Medical Center, 300 Singleton Ridge Road, Conway, South Carolina 29526. Before her retirement, she was the Deputy Directory of Fiscal Operations at South Middlesex Opportunity Council, Framingham, Massachusetts. Hope was a member of the NAACP, Housing Committee of Auburndale, Massachusetts. Community Relations Committee at The Newton City Hall, Newton, Massachusetts. She will be remembered for her fight in trying to bring forth social changes and her participation in the Civil Rights Movement. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church, where she was a member. The Joseph B. Bethea United Methodist Church, 350 West Perry Road, Myrtle Beach, SC 29579.
