Donald and Janice lived in the Menomonie area most of their married life. Janice worked for: Thorp Finance, Donnelley Law Office, she also provided Child Care in her home, andmost recent with Menomonie Disposal. Janice was known for her elegant cake designs she had made for: her nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. While her creativeness did not stop with designing cakes, she was known for her: knitting, crocheting, sewingand writing as well. Janice was one of 5 founders of the “Northern WisconsinHosta Society”, while being a lifelong member she was the editor and chief of their monthly newsletter and acquired and array of beautiful hostas as well.
Donald and Janice were known for their united talent in wood working and woulddesign and construct many items for family and friends. Together, Donald and Janice donated their many talents in helping the Boy Scouts of America for over 35 years, including organizing the raising and retiring of the flag during the Ludington Guard Band summer concerts. Janice loved to be with her family and follow the many activities of her children and grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her son, Joseph; and sister, Melva Mickelson.
Survivors include: husband Donald of Menomonie, son Nicholas(Susan) Dahl of Elk Mound, 2 grandsons Jonathon and Joseph, sister June Bartilson of Chippewa Falls, sister Shirley (Richard) Scheidecker of Eau Claire, sister Donna (Darrel) Flatland of Eau Claire, sister-in-law Mary (Everett)Traxler of Eau Claire, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
