Dear Mom,
Today I know how precious life is.
I think of your beauty and kindness,
I miss your sweet smile and sparkling eyes,
I will miss the sound of your voice and your playful laughter.
I'll miss your wonderful cooking, your dollar store gifts, our comforting talks and your peaceful kiss.
I will miss you every time one of our favorite, awful, horror movies that we loved so much is on.
I will miss our fishing excursions and trips up north to Frankenmuth, Mackinaw Island and Lakes of the North with both you and dad.
I will miss you every day but especially on those special days like Christmas and Birthdays.
My brother and sisters and I thank God for his precious gift of you as our mother…A better one could not have been chosen.
We are the gift God gave you when you brought us into this world and you cared for those gifts with all of your heart and soul.
Your spirit was so gentle like the frosty white snow that falls so peacefully on the trees at night.
Because of you and your wisdom, we know how important family is.
I miss you so much dear mom but I know you are healed now in Heaven.
I know that before you passed when you entered that tunnel to Heaven, you turned to us, smiled and waved goodbye.
We can no longer hear or see you but your presence we can feel.
I know that whenever we're thinking of you and need you near, you'll feel it and answer it in your own way.
I don't have my mother to hug or hold but I will hug and hold on to the memories of you in my heart.
If I could only have one more moment to talk to you or kiss you again but now you are walking hand in hand with the angels and our heavenly father.
Heaven is rejoicing because you have joined them. How happy they must be!
Rest now mom, for we can go on because we know you are smiling down on us from Heaven.
Know that our love for you will never fade just as your love for us on earth never did.
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again. Love your son Robert |
