I wanted to create a special place for my beautiful Step Dad to show people what a special man he was... I used to call him George because that was a special name we had for him.
He was the most loving and gentle man I have ever known and he had a capacity to love that leaves me in awe when I think of it.
He had alot of commpasion and empathy for others and I think it is because he himself had been through alot of hardship and adversity growing up as money was tight. He never took anything for granted and appreciated everyone he had in his life.
I remember once when I was 17 I supprised him with a birthday cake for his 47th birthday, he was so overwhelmed that he cried...He said "nobody has ever done anything like this for me before" and I was so touched by his sincerity.
I am so lucky and so blessed to have so many beautiful memories of John( George) and I will treasure that always... If it were not for him I would not be the person I am today.
Forever and always he will live on in my heart.As far as I am concerned he was my real father because he treated me like a daughter and I loved him so very much and I always will.
I am so lucky to have so many special memories of him. For over 20 years he has been a part of my life and I am a richer person for having him in my life.
