When a mother loses a Son as wonderful as Joshua, where does she begin? A mother never expects to write a eulogy for one of her children.
Joshua could light up a room with just his smile, his sense of humor was unique, and making people laugh was one of Joshua’s greatest gifts. His imitations of Chris Farley always made me laugh so hard I thought my sides were going to split; I sometimes thought, ~He could make it as a comedian someday~. He had many accomplishments in his short life, being crowned Mini King when he was five, numerous trophies and medals for pedal tractor pulls, garden tractor pulls, and power lifting tournaments in high school. I remember at one of his pedal pull wins he unselfishly gave his winning trophy to his cousin Brock after feeling bad that he (Brock) was so sad that he didn't win one too. His caring, loving ways came so quick that he never gave his gift of giving a second thought.
In 1997 Joshua was diagnosed with a kidney disease (nephrotic syndrome)which didn't stop him from doing any of his childhood activities that he so dearly loved. Joshua never complained of all the Dr visits, needles and overnight hospital stays. The prescribed medicine, prednisone and it's nasty side effects took a toll on his bubbly personality. I feel a deep sadness that my Son dealt with such inner turmoil.
My Son , You'll Forever be Loved, Forever Missed and Forever Remembered. Rest in Peace Joshua Dean.
The moment that you died my heart was torn in two, one side filled with heartache, the other died with you. I often lie awake at night, when the world is fast asleep, and take a walk down memory lane, with tears upon my cheeks. Remembering you is easy, I do it everyday, but missing you is heartache that never goes away. I hold you tightly within my heart and there you will remain.
Two smiling eyes stopped smiling, A golden heart stood still, We don't know why God took you, And guess we never will. He only lent you to us, Then came and took you back, To us you were so precious, Your life was full of fun, A caring, loving brother, A darling handsome son.
We lost a son with a heart of gold, Worth more to us than wealth untold, From earthly toil to heavenly rest, God took our son, one of the best.
