HOBBIES/SPORTS

Kacy was a 'one-of-a-kind' girl. Just by looking at her, you can tell she loved to live life and be a part of everything at school. A true leader and excellent at golf, she had a heart of gold.

She also was very humorous, giving everybody High 5's, making up cute insults to the teachers, etc...I recall a time when we lost a classmate 6 months ago, Sarah, I was in a tight situation. I was crying against a locker, and Kacy came up to me, we both started talking. Her words were so strong, so encouraging, I knew instantly she was a great human being.

She was friends with everybody, it was easy for her to make friends, just by her personality and humor.

When the news came about when she died, I was devastated. The girl who kept our heads up and our spirit's high, was gone. It was like there was this empty feeling in my heart. But I knew she didn't want us to grieve and cry for her, she wanted us to be strong and live life like she did.

4 days before she passed away, I remember a quote she posted on her Facebook page that she lived by, and I knew she wants all of us to live by:

'Life is too short for you to live one moment of sadness. Live it up. Put a smile on your face. Love this life.'

I know we're going to miss her, but we'll always remember her for who she was on the inside. And with our love for her, our hearts will stay strong.
