MY SWEET KAYLIN
by Elvira S. Johnson
A Godsend at birth. A baby sister to adore. A sweet toddler all her own to love forever more. Kindergarten then first grade. The rest to follow like a floating parade. A perfect student through and through. How lucky we were to have you. A baby brother for her to mother. He was her joy like no other. A step family added to her life. As always, our Kaylin, taking it in stride. A move away from her peers. New bonds to create in the coming years. A teenager so full of promise. Your life cut so short and too soon. We still look for you from room to room. A loving daughter, sister, and friend. Why did it all come to an end? Always a dear child to love and to cherish. Our precious Kaylin, why did you perish? Have you met our Lord? Have you looked into our Savior's eyes? Did he smile when you went home and hold you in his arms as we cried? I imagine he did. His beloved Kaylin was there to stay. Is heaven as they say? Is it enchanting and wondrous, and how long do you play? Do you hear the most beautiful music as you cross the fields of green? Have you traveled, my darling girl, to those places you often spoke of and imagined in your dreams? Do our tears put out the candles that you light? Bear with us Sweetie. It will be a blink for you, but for us an eternity to join you in flight. Until then, fly with the Angels our dear sweet girl. We will meet again, in your heavenly world. I will always love you Kaylin. You are forever in our hearts. Elvira
