My dearest Dad, I cannot tell you how great the loss I feel over your passing.It has been 2 weeks since you departed and I am living all my firsts without you at once. My first birthday without you is today and Thanksgiving is next week, followed by Christmas and the New Year. I am trying to keep it together for the family as I know you would expect me to do, but can't help the sudden moments that creep up on me.....I hope we honored you proudly when we sent you home and I hope you are at peace and happy with your sister Bernice and the rest of your family. Always know that the family you left here will carry on...........the way you taught us, and will never forget the strong, very respected man you truly were. You never talked much about yourself but these last few days I have found out so many wonderful things about you and I will make sure everyone knows about them. I am proud to say that you were and are my father and I hope I made you proud as well....Forever my love- your daughter, Emma Marie
