MARTHA LAURABELL HANSEN EIDE


Martha "Laura" (Hansen) Eide

Known to everyone as "Laura", Martha Laurabell, 76, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at the Regency Convalescent Home, Tacoma, Washington. She was born September 10, 1932 in Chehalis, Lewis County, Washington to John and Lydia (Cox) Hansen. She is survived by her daughters Pamela Rochene Weiland and Janis Darlene Lunsford Taylor, both of California, Sherrie Lynn Morse, of Tumwater; sons Eric Alan Eide of Tacoma, Michael David Haire, Tumwater, and Gregory Vance Haire of Bainbridge, Georgia. Laura had 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gerald Eide, son John Terry Haire and her siblings Earvin, Howard, Gaynell, Chris, Edna, June, Robert Wayne, Dorothy, Harley, and Buddy.

Laura graduated from Olympia High School, Olympia, Washington. She lived in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for several years with her first husband Grady Lunsford, and moved to the west coast of Florida with her second husband, Perry Haire. Later Laura spent 14 years in southern California and returned to the Pacific Northwest in 1978. She loved gardening and tending to roses, going to the beach, and being with her family.

Remembrances in Laura's name may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.

Cremation provided by American Burial & Cremation Services. There were no services at Laura's request.
