In Memory Of Nicholas David Reed

Nicholas David Reed

May 19th 1981 – April 21st 2009

Nicholas was tragically taken from us in a motorcycle accident.  He was predeceased by his grandpa’s, Bill Sacho and Wilf Reed. Nicholas is loved & cherished by his parents, Paul & Lynne; his sisters, who meant the world to him, Kristina (Andrew) Demoline (Niece Hannah), Teresa (Kevin) Liang, & Amanda Reed; his Grandmas’, Irene Sacho and Monica Reed, aunts, uncles, cousins, surrogate sisters, his best friend Lacey, and many friends and family.

Nicholas was born in Mackenzie, B.C., and returned to Maple Ridge shortly thereafter.  He was diagnosed with dyslexia at an early age.  He attended James Cameron School in Maple Ridge, and Graduated with Honors from MRSS.

He took his first solo flight on his 15th birthday, and acquired his private pilot’s license at the age of 16.  Before graduating, he was already taking courses at BCIT to begin his apprenticeship in the avionics field.  He received his Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s license in avionics in 2004 He spent his entire career at Vector Aerospace, first in Richmond, then in Langley, working at a job he loved and allowed him to travel extensively.

Nicholas was full of life and enjoyed adventure.  He was always eager to learn and experience something new.  He bungee jumped, sky dived, and enjoyed traveling.  Nicholas spent time as an exchange student in Japan, visited his sister and brother-in-law in Korea, and made many work related trips across Canada and the USA.  He lived life to the fullest.

Nicholas was always there to help his family in any way they needed.  He would do anything for his sisters, “you could call on him anytime.”  He was so proud of recently becoming an uncle to Hannah Mary. Nicholas was generous beyond measure and someone we could always rely on.  He lived and loved, well.

We will miss Nicholas more than we can say.  Without him, there is a large void in our family.  We love you Nicholas.  “Mommy Loves You.”

God Be With You Nicholas.
