Survived By: Her husband, two sisters, one brother, all three children, an abundance of Grandchildren and Great grandchildren of whom she loved and adored and revolved her life around everyday.
This memorial website was created in the memory of our beloved Norma Harris who was born in Edina Missouri on 26th September 1948 and passed away on 23rd June 2012, 63 years of age. Norma was a beautiful woman inside and out, she was compassionate, caring, honest and kind. She gave of herself totally and unconditionally to anyone in need,... rather it was a family member or just a neighbor from the next street over. She raised many children... some hers some others but she did it all with the same love and compassion.
She worked in home health and cared for and nurtured many kind and deserving people. She Married Jerry Harris on July 25th, 1998 and proclaimed daily that he was her soul mate, her one true love. Together the two of them lived a very happy life. Norma was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer this past November and was undergoing treatment at the Cancer Treatment Center in Tulsa Oklahoma. She was feeling good, in great spirits happy and full of her usual antics for a few months, then was told they had found a metastisis to the brain.
That was a sad day but didnt bring Norma down.... she continued on with strength and determination that was remarkable. She NEVER complained of pain, only some nausea and lack of appetite. She sure did love her milkshakes though. Norma left us on a sad saturday afternoon after her battle had become too much. She went to join her mother and father in heavan at 2:30 p.m on July 23rd, 2012. She leaves behind a multitude of loved ones that will miss her greatly everyday.... until we meet again. We rest assured that she is saving us a place and watching over us until we can be together again. |
