Following a stroke and heart attach at a Las Vegas hostpital, Ruth Brown died leaving behind a legacy of soul music. Best known for her ground breaking R&B hits "Teardrops in My Eyes,""5-10-15 Hours" and "(Mama) He Treats Your Daughter Mean", Ruth (born Ruth Alston Weston) earned a Grammy Award and Tony Award for her acting and musical contributions to the Broadway musical "Black and Blue".
