Stan Irvin
Tribute to the World’s Greatest Dad:

Our dad, Stanley T. Irvin, 73, passed away July 30th, 2009 at his home in Fort Worth, Texas. He was the youngest sibling of four children born to Dorothy and Jack Irvin. He is survived by his brother John, his sisters Sally and Victoria, his two children Holly and Julie, his grandchildren Phillip and Sarah and many other loved nieces and nephews.

Stan served four years active duty in the United States Marine Corps from 1953 – 1957, achieving the rank of an E-5 Sergeant. He was a proud former Marine.

Stan was a graduate of Oregon State University where he earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.

This took him to many places to live and work across the country as well as out of the country to Indonesia, South Africa and Canada.

He also had a love for education and taught at Community and Technical schools. He was respected and loved by many of his students.

His servant’s heart and sense of loyalty was proven out in his lifelong involvement in Masonry beginning with DeMolay and ending as Worshipful Master 2009 at Lake Worth Masonic Lodge in Fort Worth, Texas.

Most importantly, he was a compassionate, loyal, firm, dedicated, encouraging, joyful, and loving father to his two girls. This is a legacy that will be passed down for generations.

Memorial services will be held at:

Lake Worth Masonic Lodge #1410, (817) 237-5787
4104 Fewell Dr. Fort Worth, Texas
October 11th, 2009 at 3:00pm.

Because of Stan’s passion for Freemasonry and their mission of teaching, leadership and giving back to their community through many benevolent programs, the family has requested that flowers and/or donations be sent to Lake Worth Masonic Lodge at the address listed above for the continuing of the work he loved.
