Thomas Edison was, first and foremost, a proud father and husband. He was an American inventor and businessman who developed many devices that greatly influenced life around the world, among them the phonograph and a long lasting light bulb.
At a young age, Thomas Edison stopped attending school and began schooling at home. His deafness played a major role in him not continuing his education.
Later, after saving a 3 year-old boy, he became a telegraph operator and it was his father that taught Edison how to use a telegraph. Through the course of Edison's life, he made many inventions but his most influential invention of them all was the incadescent light bulb.
Later, Thomas was to marry twice. Mary was his first wife where they had three children. Years later, Mary passed away from a fever, which took a toll on Thomas. Later on he married Mina and had three more children with her.
On October 18, 1931, he died of natural causes, leaving behind his children and wife Mina. He is truly missed by all.
