OBITUARY
"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” II Timothy 4: 7-8 Timothy Darrell McDonald began his life’s journey on May 25, 1968 in Collins, Mississippi. He completed his course on Monday, July 30, 2007 at approximately 6:45 PM at Henry County Medical Center, Stockbridge, Georgia.
Darrell was the youngest son born to Martha Sue Thames McDonald and the late Joseph Samuel (J. S. ) Allen, Jr. He was educated in the Covington County School System. He graduated from Collins High School in May 1986 and began his military career in September 1986.
Sergeant McDonald served his country in Great Britain, Turkey, Panama and Saudi Arabia. His final years of service were in Fort Walton Beach, Florida at Hurlburt Air Force Base. Upon retiring, he became a member of the Boeing Industries team in Mobile, AL and was later transferred to the McDonough, GA facility. Tim completed his Bachelor of Science degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and was pursuing his Master’s Degree at the time of his death.
“Jabbo” was a loving son, brother, father and friend.
He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, a nephew and a niece.
