Survived By: His wife Eng Chang, 9 children (Sou Ching, Han Kong, Han Sreng, Yun Ching, Ly Ching, Sok Ching, Han Meng, Kristina Oy Ching & Ghek Ching) and their spouses, 24 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Tong Leav, age 84, passed away in his home in Chicago, Illinois on December 27th, 2008. He was born and raised in Cambodia and made a courageous journey to the United States in 1980. He was a devoted and loving husband to his wife, Eng Chang, for 63 years. He was a dedicated father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He enjoyed traveling and visiting with friends, but most of all, he cherished his time with his family. In his gentle way, he made each and everyone of us feel appreciated. He showered us with unlimited love and encouragement and proudly celebrated our accomplishments. He touched us with his generosity and lived his life with dignity.
He is survived by his wife Eng Chang, 9 children (Sou Ching, Han Kong, Han Sreng, Yun Ching, Ly Ching, Sok Ching, Han Meng, Kristina Oy Ching & Ghek Ching) and their spouses, 24 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends. His legacy lives on through us, and he will truly be missed.
Visitation will be held at Barr Funeral Home, 6222 North Broadway, Chicago, IL on Sunday, January 4th, 2009 from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at Barr Funeral Home on Monday, January 5th, 2009 at 8:30 am. Burial to follow at 10:00 am at Rosehill Cemetery, 5800 North Ravenswood Avenue, Chicago, IL.
