This memorial website was created in the memory of our beloved VIrgil Newport who was born in Scott County on 4th July 1933 and passed away on 20th June 2014, 80 years of age. he was preceded in death by his parents, Kelly and Flotilla Lawson Newport; wife, Christine Burch Newport; brother, Glen Newport; and sister, Izella Lawson.He is survived by his step-daughter, Christine Glasser; step-sons: Merle and William Glasser; step-granddaughter, Lori Johnson; nephew and nieces: Dana, Janice, Elaine, Lynelle, and Kelly; and many other relatives. Funeral service was conducted June 28, in the chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home-Huntsville with Bro. Carlie Duncan officiating. Graveside service was conducted June 29, at Fairview Cemetery.
